Adult Mission Trips
After a successful trip in the Fall of 2006 by an APC adult team to a Presbyterian Disaster Assistance camp in Louisiana, we are continuing to investigate opportunities for future mission trips. Contact the Mission Committee for more specific information om opportunities.

Angel Tree
This annual holiday event benefits many APC mission organizations. Members choose ornaments off of a Christmas tree that indicate the needs of individual children or families during the holiday season. Additional donations opportunities are available to help offset utility bills or to make large donations of furniture or electronic equipment.

The Drake House
Emergency housing for homeless women and children in the Roswell/Alpharetta area. There are multiple volunteer and donation opportunities.

Foster Care Support Foundation
Helping foster families equip themselves for taking care of foster children. This facility solicits donations of clothing and child care equipment, and serves as a shop for parents to lighten the financial burden of foster parenting.

La Gonave, Haiti
APC members give generously to support healthcare initiatives in La Gonave. Part of the Mission tithe pays for training of community health workers. We also send infant clothing to support prenatal outreach to pregnant women.

Heifer International
Providing livestock to international villages to encourage self-sufficiency. This mission effort is primarily to encourage Sunday School classes and other small groups looking for offering investment opportunities.

North Fulton Child Development Association
The Child Development Association provides quality daycare services to low income working families. APC provides monetary and material donations to the CDA, as well as volunteers to read in the classrooms and play with the children.

North Fulton Community Charities
NFCC is a broad-based non-profit charity in our local area. This organization runs a clothing bank and thrift shop, food bank, and makes references to clients for available housing and job services. APC holds regular donation drives, and volunteer opportunities abound.

Open Door Community
The Open Door is a community in Atlanta that serves the homeless and those in prison. The ODC serves lunch, provides showers and clothing, staffs a free medical clinic, and conducts worship services. APC supports this ministry with regular donation drives.

The Place of Forsyth
The Place is a social services organization serving the Forsyth County area. They focus on core survival needs such as a food, clothing, and emergency basic needs. APC holds regualr donation drives and helps direct volunteers.

Presbyterian Offerings
Alpharetta Presbyterian Church takes in three offerings a year to benefit Presbyterian Missions - The One Great Hour of Sharing, the Mother’s Day Offering, and the Joy Offering. APC also budgets to support the Presbyterian Theological Educational Fund, either by donation or by direct support of APC seminarians.

Whiz Kids
Whiz Kids is a one-on-one mentoring/tutoring program that builds caring relationships with children, building self-esteem and confidence by helping them learn to read. Tutors meet with the same child one hour each week from October thru April, helping them learn to read. Whiz Kids meets on Mondays - in the APC Fellowship Hall for Manning Oaks students from 3:15 – 4:15 PM, and from 6:15 – 7:15 PM at Mimosa Elementary.
